The TBMDA1 modulated wideband driver amplifier is designed to create a low-cost signal source for immunity testing of electronic building blocks and products. It is intended to be driven by the output of a spectrum analyzer's tracking generator. With a gain of 22 dB and a 1 dB compression point of +22 dBm, it can boost the output power of the tracking generator up to 150 mW. The TBMDA1 is ideal for driving Tekbox near-field probes to generate electric fields of up to 50 V/m when finding sensitive spots in electronic circuits or when driving the Tekbox TEM cell TBTC1, or 25 V/m when driving TBTC2, or 18 V/m when driving TBTC3. The test signals for immunity testing can be CW, AM, or PM. As a result, the TBMDA1 provides built-in modulation capabilities to generate 1 kHz AM or PM signals. In PM mode, the TBMDA1 can also generate a 217 Hz signal with a 12.5% duty cycle to simulate mobile phone TDMA noise.

The TBMDA2 wideband driver amplifier with modulation capabilities is designed to create an inexpensive signal source for immunity testing of electronic building blocks and products. It is intended to be driven by the tracking generator output of a spectrum analyzer. With a +27dBm 1dB compression point, it can boost the output power of the tracking generator up to 500mW. The TBMDA2 can drive Tekbox near-field probes to find sensitive spots in electronic circuits, create electric fields of up to 170V/m when driving the Tekbox TEM cell TBTC0, and is optimal for 100V/m when driving TBTC1 at 50V/m. When driving TBTC2 or TBTC3, it can produce 30V/m. The test signals for immunity testing can be CW, AM, or PM. As a result, the TBMDA2 provides built-in modulation capabilities to generate 1 kHz AM or PM signals. In PM mode, the TBMDA2 can also generate a 217 Hz signal with a 12.5% duty cycle to simulate mobile phone TDMA noise.

The test signals for immunity testing can be CW, AM, or PM. The TBMDA7 has built-in modulation capabilities to generate 1 kHz AM or PM signals.
